The Tale of Uncut Turmaline Veins
Long before exiles ever set foot in these lands, the river carved its way through obsidian cliffs, revealing veins of a strange, uncut crystal dark as midnight, yet glowing faintly with a cold, azure light.
The Karui hunters who first camped here called the place “The Veins of the Sleeping Star”, believing the stones were fragments of a fallen celestial body. They claimed the glow would grow brighter under moonlight, and those who stared too long into the crystals would dream of voices whispering beneath the earth.
